SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) -- Suffolk Police say the 4900 block of Nansemond Parkway is currently closed due to a fatal, pedestrian-involved crash.

Police say the roadway is expected to be closed for an extended period of time as officers investigate the accident.

Drivers are advised to take an alternate route, if possible.
