Monarch Butterflies across North America have begun their Fall migration to Central Mexico, one of the most intriguing migrations in the animal kingdom.
To learn more about this mystery of nature, register to attend a special presentation by Carmen Flammini, Extension Agent for Alabama Cooperative Extension System who has decades of experience on Monarch Migration, on Saturday, Sept. 20 beginning at 9:30 a.m. in Ricketts Hall at the Dothan Area Botanical Gardens.
The informative program will include a special treat of demonstrating how Monarch butterflies are tagged for tracking. Approximately 10-15 Monarchs will be tagged and released.
