HOLYOKE, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - Western Mass News went out to Holyoke to see some of the damage of the intense storm that tore throughout the bay state Saturday.
Neighbors and bystanders were shocked at the aftermath. Specifically a totaled car that was crushed by a tree which was uprooted taking the sidewalk with it.
Holyoke police shared a photo of the scene on social media. Kevin Theroux, who lives across the street from the residents with the totaled car, told us what he saw and heard when the quick but devastating storm hit: “I can’t remember wind and rain that hard before. It was blowing sideways at one point. It was incredible.”
