ORANGE, MA (WGGB/WSHM) - Around 1 p.m. Sunday afternoon, the Orange Police Department responded to a call of a child that had fallen into the river.
The boy was fishing with his brother when he has slipped in fell in and had to hold onto an object to keep his head above the water.
Two police officers were able to wade across the river to get the child out of the water. The child was evaluated by paramedics and did not need any medical assistance.
