Baylor Hayes' 24-yard touchdown might as well have felt like three of them.

That's because New Mexico State's offense was heavily struggling against Tulsa through three-and-one-fourth quarters, and it didn't feel like they had what it took to match the Golden Hurricane quarterback's touchdown rush with one of its own. The Aggies just had 101 yards and three points on their first seven drives after all.

But that's exactly what NM State did. A 13-play, 65-yard drive was capped off by a beautiful 24-yard touchdown pass in stride to Donovan Faupel on a vertical route to snatch a 10-7 lead. Tulsa added a touchdown to take a 14-13 lead, but the Aggies rose again with an 11-play, 75-yard drive to score a touchdown and a two-point conversion for their margin of victory.
