The provincial government is reopening the Job Creation Partnerships program to support recovery efforts on the Conception Bay North Shore following the widespread wildfire damage in August.

The program is now accepting applications from community-based, not-for-profit organizations for projects that provide meaningful work experience to EI-eligible individuals while contributing to the region’s recovery.

Eligible organizations are invited to submit proposals for a variety of initiatives, including community clean-up and the replacement of damaged infrastructure; projects that support local economic revitalization; wildfire site reclamation and preparation for rebuilding; and fire prevention planning and public outreach to enhance community readiness.
