Emergency services were scrambled to Liverpool after a person fell nearly 100 feet down an embankment.

Police, fire and ambulance crews received reports that a person had fallen on Rice Lane in Walton at around 9.10pm last night, Saturday, September 6.

At around 9.45pm emergency services including three incident response units, two ambulance cars, an ambulance, two fire engines, an advanced paramedic and numerous police vehicles were present at the scene.

Search and rescue personnel were also visible combing through a gap close to the Rice Lane/Breeze Hill flyover, the Liverpool Echo reports.
