FAYETTE CO., Pa. (WHTM) - Five Pennsylvania children were found last month allegedly trapped inside a room that state police said was a "dungeon" in a disgusting home.
Pennsylvania State Police at Belle Vernon charged the parents - James Kahl Jr., 65, and Carly Kahl, 40, of Fairbank, Fayette County - on Wednesday with felony charges of endangering the welfare of children and aggravated assault, online court records show. They also face five misdemeanor charges of recklessly endangering another person.
The five children, between the ages of 5 and 14, were found Aug. 8 living in deplorable conditions at a home in Redstone Township by State Police and Fayette County CYS, according to the criminal complaint.
