(WJET/WFXP) – One Pennsylvania politician announced that he'll be seeking re-election next year.

On Friday, September 5, U.S. Representative Mike Kelly (R-PA) announced that he will seek congressional re-election in 2026.

Kelly has served in Congress since 2011 and currently represents Pennsylvania's 16th Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives.

In the past, Kelly has been scrutinized by constituents who were frustrated by his lack of in-person town hall meetings.

A statement released by Kelly's team quoted the representative, saying that with this bid, he hopes to continue the work he's been doing for the last 14 years.
