Respected wrestling official John Scesa will receive a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Upstate New York Chapter of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame on Sunday, September 21 st, in Syracuse.

Former Section 9 wrestling stars, P.J. Duke and Luke Satriano, will be recognized as Robert Feldmeier Outstanding Senior Wrestlers at the event.

“I am honored, humbled, and extremely grateful for all the people in my life who have made this opportunity possible for me,” Scesa said

Before his retirement, Scesa had made a name for himself as a well-liked and professional wrestling referee. In 20 years as an official, Scesa was selected to work at the state tournament eight times. On five occasions, he was ranked as the top referee of the tour
