STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — South Shore Councilmember Frank Morano is hosting some family-friendly fun this September at local parks.
“I’m excited to announce Movies in the Park coming this September!” Morano posted on his Facebook page. “I’m proud to carry on a wonderful tradition started in our district by former Councilman Vincent Ignizi.”
The movies are free for the public to enjoy, though Morano’s office is asking residents to “Please bring a non-perishable food item to be donated to local food pantries.”
Each of the movies will start at 6:15 p.m., just around dusk.
Kicking off the three-movie event is Disney’s “Moana 2” on Friday, Sept. 12. The film will be shown at Seaside Nature Park in Great Kills.
