How many men can say, after their race is run, that they saved hundreds of lives along the way?

I had the inestimable privilege of counting one such man as a dear friend, one whose life’s work included the creation of St. Elizabeth Foundation, an adoption agency through which 600-plus infants were placed. These adoptions saved the lives of countless babies through the immeasurable love of birth mothers, the love and devotion of the adoptive parents and the creative genius of one man: A. Hays Town Jr.
