One person suffered life-threatening injuries in a multi-car crash that shut down Interstate 95 in Attleborough, Massachusetts, for hours overnight.
The Attleborough Fire Department says it responded around 1:17 a.m. to I-95 north for a reported crash involving two vehicles and arrived on scene to find a debris field stretching nearly a quarter mile.

A male driver was trapped inside one of the vehicles and needed to be freed by firefighters, officials said. He was taken by advanced life support ambulance to Rhode Island Hospital in critical condition.
