BANGOR, Maine (WABI) - The first weekend of September has started off as an active one with plenty of rainfall and a few severe storms across the state Saturday. Today, the wet trend continues but without any severe storm risk.
This morning, showers will pass along the coast and interstate, reaching all the way up into southern extents of the Western Mountains and Central Highlands. Showers will linger mostly across the interstate and coast by midday, with a few areas of steady rain and downpours along the coast Downeast. Most rainfall will stay on the interstate and to the SE throughout the afternoon before exiting to the east during the evening hours. Areas up North will get by with cloudy skies and drier conditions.
