WILMINGTON, N.C. ( WECT /Gray News) - A narcotics investigation led investigators to the remains of two possible fetuses, according to authorities.

The Wilmington Police Department reports that on Aug. 22, a search warrant was executed on a home on Wesley Avenue for narcotics violations.

Authorities discovered what appeared to be fetal remains inside a container.

“The remains were found in a building out back,” a department spokesperson told WECT. “Those remains are being examined at the Greenville Medical Examiner’s office.”

Nicholas Donnell Baldwin Jr. was arrested at the home and charged with felony possession with intent to sell or deliver cocaine, simple possession of a Schedule III controlled substance and possession of up to 1/2 ounce of marijuana.
