SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – Evidence collected at the scene of a violent domestic dispute led officers of the Shreveport Police Department (SPD) to arrest Jacobi Hughes for the murder of his girlfriend, Kalisia Franklin.

On Saturday, September 6, 2025, around 8:30 a.m., Shreveport Police officers responded to a call regarding a 'deceased person' at a home located on the 3100 block of Desoto Street.

When officers arrived, they discovered the body of Kalisia Franklin inside the home.

Detectives noted that the back room where the victim was found showed extensive signs of a struggle, indicating a violent altercation had taken place.
