Get ready for MTV’s biggest night because the VMAs are officially back.

The 2025 MTV Video Music Awards nominees and performers have been revealed in the walk-up to the show, airing live Sept. 7, and can give viewers a hint at who might be attending.

Lady Gaga leads in nominations this year with 12, including nods for video of the year, artist of the year and best album. Other top nominees this year include Bruno Mars (11), Kendrick Lamar (10), and ROSÉ and Sabrina Carpenter (eight each).

Top and emerging artists will hit the stage to this year, too; Mariah Carey will perform as the 2025 Video Vanguard Award honoree. Plus, Busta Rhymes and Ricky Martin will take the mic in separate performances, as they receive the Rock the Bells Visionary Award and the Latin Icon Award, respectively.
