BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ( WBRC ) - With a win over Ball State Saturday and a 2-0 start, the Auburn Tigers are now nationally ranked for the first time since 2021.

The Tigers, led by Jackson Arnold’s fantastic performance (24/28, 251 yards, 3 TD’s), took down the Cardinals 42-3 inside Jordan-Hare Saturday night en route to their now #24 ranking.

Alabama looked more like Alabama Saturday night in their blowout 73-0 win over Louisiana Monroe in Tuscaloosa. After their week 1 loss to Florida State, the Tide dropped all the way down to #21 from their #8 preseason ranking. After the win Saturday, they jumped back up two spots to #19.

After upsetting Florida on the road in Gainesville Saturday, South Florida jumped into the top 25 as the #18 ranked program.
