PINEWOOD, S.C. (WIS) - The small town of Pinewood hosted a big birthday bash for a longtime resident.

Elease Walker is turning 100 years old surrounded by family and friends.

Cruising by Walker’s home, dozens of cars with signs wishing her a happy birthday.

Walker says she’s made it this far by working hard and looking to the heavens.

“I just want to thank all of my family, all of my friends, and all of my church members. Thank y’all very much for coming to be with me today. Thank you.”

Raising 13 children... Walker is grateful for her family and many ‘many’ grandchildren.
