ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ) - Hundreds of girls from across Virginia came together Sunday for an event focused on mental health and resilience.

The Girl Scouts of Virginia Skyline hosted the second annual Operation H.E.R: Strong Minds, Strong Girls at the Berglund Center in Roanoke. The summit brought together more than 1,100 participants, including Girl Scouts, non-Scouts, parents, and community members.

The event featured keynote speakers, breakout sessions, and wellness activities designed to help both girls and adults build coping strategies and recognize the importance of mental health.

“This is an opportunity for us to bring mental health resources to the girls and the adults who support them on their journey in our community,” said Nikki Williams, CEO of the Girl Scouts of Virginia Skyli
