PORTSMOUTH — It would look nothing like what you see on “Storage Wars,” but a large-scale, self-storage facility has been proposed for a vacant lot on West Main Road, directly across from the U.S. Navy’s solar development.

The conceptual plans put forth by owner/applicant Regal LLC, of 40 Roger Williams Court, Portsmouth, call for a structure of slightly more than 25,000 square feet to be built on two commercially zoned lots at 1526 West Main Road, between Mill Lane and a Dunkin’ Donuts.
