Recently wrapping up its 8th year, the Bristol Police’s Youth Leadership Camp graduated 55 campers, the biggest cohort to date. According to Capt. Steven St. Pierre, who has run the camp since its inception, there were also 15 former graduates who returned as Counselors-In-Training this year, taking on the role of both staff and campers, as well as two campers from the first season, now college students, who returned to help. According to St. Pierre, the continued engagement of older students is good evidence that the camp is meeting its mission to teach campers leadership skills that they will carry with them for life.
