EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — Chris Boswell was almost dressed and out of the locker room when his teammates were still celebrating their 34-32 victory over the Jets late Sunday afternoon when one of his teammates bellowed out: “Man, they better pay that man his money tomorrow.”
Boswell never did get that new contract he was seeking over the summer, but it seems inevitable he’ll have the title as the NFL’s highest-paid kicker soon enough.
Boswell delivered in the clutch again when he nailed a 60-yard field goal with 63 seconds remaining to clinch the comeback victory. It has happened so often over the years that it’s almost expected, but Boswell’s performance in crunch time is worth noting.
Boswell has made 82 of his 88 field goal attempts in the fourth quarter or overtime in his career. Sin
