The game film hardly will be preserved by the Library of Congress, but the Broncos prevailed in their opener Sunday, 20-12, over the Tennessee Titans.

Broncos quarterback Bo Nix threw two interceptions and lost a fumble, but Denver's defense stepped up when needed in the ugly outing at Empower Field at Mile High.

Nix completed 25 of 40 passes for 176 yards but threw two interceptions in a season opener for the second straight year. But last year's effort came when he was a rookie in his first NFL game.

Tennessee quarterback Cam Ward, the No. 1 pick in last April's draft, made his debut and didn't do a lot. He completed 12 of 28 passes for 112 yards and was sacked six times, while being bothered throughout the game by Denver's pass rush.
