NORMAN — Sherrone Moore downplayed his homecoming. Downplayed it before the OU-Michigan game, downplayed it after.
Of course, it’s not easy to be upbeat after a loss.
Last September, even the stoic Josh Heupel admitted some specialness to his Tennessee Volunteers coming into Owen Field and handing the Sooners a 25-15 defeat.
There was no such celebration for Moore, whose Wolverines lost 24-13 Saturday night, and Moore offered no evidence the homecoming was an emotional experience.
“Like I said” before the game, Moore said, “it was a big-time game because two big-time programs. It wasn’t me versus Brent (Venables), or me coming back to Oklahoma.
“It was really about the players. It always is about the players. Always will be about the players
