BURT, Iowa (KTIV) - A Storm Lake girl will be competing in the national Pedal Pull Championship in South Dakota later this month.

On Saturday, Sept. 6, 4-year-old Raelyn Lehl of Storm Lake, Iowa became a national qualifier at the Iowa State Pedal Pull Association’s 35th annual State Pedal Pull Championship.

Raelyn placed 4th in the four-year-old girls’ division, according to her family. She competed with other boys and girls ages 4 to 12 years old.

Those participants competed for a finish in the top four in order to compete at the National Pull, which is expected to take place on Saturday, Sept. 27 at the Corn Palace in Mitchell, South Dakota.

She qualified for the state pull at the Cherokee County Fair’s Pedal Pull, sponsored by the Cherokee County Farm Bureau, on July 19th. She place
