SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - For some, living with Type One Diabetes can be isolating, but on Sunday, Sept 7, many living with the disease were not alone as together they gathered at the Anderson Dance Pavilion for a walk wearing blue warrior bands with pride.

The walk to raise awareness and money for a cure for type one diabetes was put on by Breakthrough T1D

The organization, which was formerly known as the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, is geared towards research and advocacy for type 1 diabetes.

Rachel Grigsby, the event coordinator, said she was happy to see people come together to support the cause.
