ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – From turquoise beads, seed beads, or pearls, New Mexicans were out searching for the most unique beads to adorn their jewelry creations on Sunday. The Whole Bead Show has been hosting bead events across the country since 1994 and says they always look for the most unique and exciting additions to add to their collections.
Beading is also a Native American craft that has been practiced for centuries. "It works with all different stuff, it's not just the seed beads or the big bold beads," says treasurer of the New Mexico Bead Society, Twyla Caudill.
The New Mexico Bead Society is a nonprofit that offers classes to its members and curious residents.
