A 42-year-old man, who allegedly threatened to shoot a 33-year-old woman in the Kapolei area on Sept. 1 and allegedly told police he was a Customs and Border Protection agent, made his initial appearance in Honolulu District Court on Friday.
Jim Beauvais appeared in court with his private attorney, Alen Kaneshiro, and was ordered to appear for a preliminary hearing Oct. 3.
The 42-year-old was arrested Sept. 1 at 10:37 a.m. at 4133 Guadalcanal Circle for the 10 a.m. incident on suspicion of first-degree terroristic threatening.
Beauvais was released after posting $50,000 bail bond Tuesday.
Police said he and the woman were involved in an argument, before he allegedly made the threat with a firearm.
