2025 Tennessee Valley Fair kicks off in Chilhowee Park

Although its future at Chilhowee Park is uncertain, the Tennessee Valley Fair opened Friday for its annual opening day business and government luncheon. The fair has been held at Chilhowee Park since 1916. The overflow crowd beneath the Pepsi Community Tent spoke little about where the fair might take place next year. The gathering was jovial and very typical of past fair kick-off ceremonies

UT President Randy Boyd was the primary speaker and said the fair is “an economic driver and puts a spotlight on East Knoxville.”
