COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) -Texas A&M University Association of Former Students will recognize its annual Pass It Back Day on Tuesday, September 9, with a giving campaign.

The goal is to engage 1,879 donors in a single day, symbolizing the association’s founding year of 1879. Funds raised will support scholarships, academic programs, student organizations, along with preserving long-standing Aggie traditions, including Silver Taps, FISH camp, Aggie Ring Day, and Muster.

Cadet Dora Gibbons, a sophomore neuroscience major and member of both the Corps of Cadets and Traditions Council, said the support from former students makes it possible to keep the many traditions that make Texas A&M unique alive both on and off
