Plenty of clouds on Monday, but we’ll just see a few sunrise raindrops. Cooler, drier, breezy air moves in with highs peaking in the upper 70s with frequent gusts of 20–30 mph from the northeast.
Looking into the week, the front stalls offshore, which will allow unsettled conditions to return along the coast. Weak lows moving along the boundary Tuesday into Wednesday bring the best chance for showers near the Crystal Coast and Outer Banks, with inland areas staying mostly dry.
By Thursday and Friday, high pressure builds in again, reinforcing the dry, fall-like conditions. Next weekend remains uncertain, as some guidance hints at a weak coastal low developing off the Southeast coast, though confidence in its track and impact is low.
