ONSLOW COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) - The North Carolina Department of Transportation is starting construction on one Onslow County road today.

The NCDOT says they’ll be doing repairs on Haws Run Road from September 8th to September 18th.

During the repairs, Haws Run Road (SR1105) will be closed near Double R Farm Market.

Crews will replace a crossline pipe that has deteriorated.

NCDOT says the replacement is necessary to monitor public safety and improve drainage in the area.

Drivers are encouraged to follow posted detours and allow extra time for traveling, while also using alternate routes as traffic is expected to increase.
