At least five people have been killed in mob justice attacks in Blantyre over the past two weeks, MIJ Online has established from police records.
According to reports, one person was killed in Mbayani, another in Soche, while three others were killed in Chileka.
Commenting on the incidents, security expert Shelif Kaisi described the trend as a reflection of growing frustration among citizens over how law enforcement agencies are handling their duties.
Kaisi also pointed out that limited public knowledge of the country’s laws continues to fuel mob justice cases.
