HARTSELLE, Ala. (WHNT) -- A police chase that started in Priceville and entered Hartselle on Saturday has left a 17-year-old dead.

Six people are in the hospital after a vehicle chase Saturday evening, according to the Hartselle Police Department.

Morgan County Coroner Jeff Chunn said that a 17-year-old male died as a result of the incident. His identity has not been released at this time.

The uncle of one of the victims in the crash said that his nephew was still in the hospital in stable condition as of Sunday night.

Hartselle Police said on Sept. 6 at about 8:30 p.m., the Priceville Police Department was engaged in a vehicle chase that entered Hartselle on Highway 36.

The chase ended in a crash at the intersection of Highway 31 and Highway 36, resulting in multiple injuries.
