MINNEAPOLIS (FOX 9) - An overnight shooting in the Minneapolis neighborhood of Ventura Village has left one person dead, according to police.

What happened:

Officers responded to a reported shooting on the 1900 block of Elliot Avenue just before 1 a.m. on Monday.

Minneapolis police confirmed one person died as a result of the shooting, and no arrests have been made.

Authorities are expected to release additional details later on Monday.
