Ayrshire junior football heavyweights Auchinleck Talbot and Cumnock will go head-to-head under the lights at Beechwood Park in the Scottish Cup after the match was chosen as BBC 's TV pick. ‌

The first round match will see the fierce rivals face off on Friday, September 26 at 7.45pm live on BBC Scotland. ‌

Tommy Sloan's Talbot reached the first round thanks to a 4-0 win against Haddington Athletic at Beechwood in the second preliminary round. ‌

Cumnock, manged by Stephen Swift, defeated East of Scotland side Dunbar United 4-2 at New Countess Park to advance to the first round.

The two were paired against each other in the senior Scottish Cup for the first time after the draw on Sunday, August 31.
