A 75-year-old Monroe man was pronounced dead at the scene of a crash in Frenchtown Township on Sunday, Sept. 7.

The crash was reported at 7:35 p.m. Investigation by the Monroe County Sheriff's Office showed that Michael Procy, 75, of Monroe, was eastbound in the 3100 block of Fourth Street when his truck left the roadway to the north, striking several vehicles and posts. The truck then reentered the roadway before drifting off a second time, hitting a tree and Procy was ejected. The truck came to rest on a private property on the north side of the roadway.
