Grim Brewer, the decorative skeleton in front of the Nocturnal coffee house in Monroe, had its arm returned to it on Saturday, Sept. 6, after it was stolen the day before.
"I felt very grateful to the community and everyone who reached out," said Hannah Holdwick, owner of Nocturnal.
Several Nocturnal customers found an Instagram post from the people who stole the arm. Hannah and co-owner Zach Holdwick were able to pass the information on to the police, and on Saturday morning, they found the arm laying on their hay bales with a note that said "Sorry."
"It was definitely, I think, the support of the community that put the fire behind that person," Hannah Holdwick said. "And I’m very grateful that they returned it, it was all intact."
