HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - One local 11-year-old’s dreams came true Saturday, when his wish to go to California was granted by Make-A-Wish South Carolina.

The ceremony for Cam’Ron was held at the Myrtlewood Golf Club, where family, guests, and golfers all announced the surprise.

In addition to being surprised with his wish, Cam’Ron got to lead a golf cart parade and enjoy a Hollywood-themed party.

Cam’Ron had a kidney transplant, and his mother described what it was like having a day like this happen.

“Oh it feels awesome,” said Uilanionapua Barjane Dew. “Knowing my son was stronger than me in this process during most of it he’s a strong kid and I’m glad we’re here today.”

Cam’Ron described what it was like to hear the good news.

“Best thing ever, I ever had,” he said.
