Celebrating 16 de septiembre in Doña Ana County? The Sheriff’s Office has warned it will be have several sobriety checkpoints located throughout the county during September in hopes of reducing DWI incidents.

Don't drink and drive in Doña Ana County

Through Sept. 30 law enforcement will be watching roads to prevent intoxicated and impaired driving.

The location of the checkpoints will not be disclosed but will be put in place between midnight and 2 a.m.

"Deputies will be looking for all types of violations with an emphasis on intoxicated drivers," a news release from the Sheriff's Office read.

"Please join the Sheriff’s Office and all area law enforcement in keeping our roads safe for everyone. Remember to always buckle up and never ever drink and drive."
