Residents are advised not to be alarmed if they spot the undead staggering through the streets next month — it’s all part of the 14 th annual Soo Zombie Walk, returning to the Sault’s downtown core on Sunday, Oct. 5.

The event begins at 1 p.m. at the Sault Downtown Plaza, where pre-walk festivities will include a Halloween movie screening, vendors, food, face painting, games, and a Jell-O brain-eating contest. A costume contest will hand out awards at 3:30 p.m., with the walk itself lurching to life at 4 p.m., ending with a mock “zombie resistance” showdown at Clergue Park.
