GREEN BAY, Wis. -- Lost in the shuffle of the Detroit Lions’ 27-13 loss Sunday to the Green Bay Packers was one of the more spectacular touchdown grabs anyone may see this season.
With 55 seconds left in regulation, rookie receiver Isaac TeSlaa made the most of one of his three offensive snaps, hauling in a one-handed 13-yard touchdown pass. Initially, officials ruled the play incomplete, believing TeSlaa had landed out of bounds.
Even TeSlaa wasn’t sure.
After review, the cameras confirmed what the rookie and the Lions hoped -- both of his feet were inbounds as he secured the catch, a grab reminiscent of the one made famous by Odell Beckham Jr.
It was a bittersweet moment for the Hudsonville native, who not only scored the Lions’ lone touchdown but also his first in the regular season
