LONE TREE, Colo. (KAKE) — A 27-year-old motorcyclist was arrested for reckless driving after allegedly traveling through a construction zone near Denver at high rates of speed that were as high as 140 mph.
KMGH-TV reports that 27-year-old Matthew Galek was traveling northbound on I-25 south of Denver on Thursday afternoon, weaving through traffic and crossing solid white lines in a toll lane. The motorcycle was clocked at 142 mph, going well over the 75-mph zone and as it entered a 65-mph construction zone, before being stopped. The speeding and traffic stop were captured on video via a Colorado State Patrol aircraft.
