CHILLICOTHE, Mo - Chillicothe Police arrested a 36-year-old man yesterday afternoon following a report of a domestic disturbance at a residence in the 1500 block of Bryan Street.

An officer arrived just before 3:15 and made contact with two adults and a juvenile. The 36-year-old man displayed signs of suspicious behavior. When the officer attempted to detain him, he physically resisted.

During the altercation, the suspect grabbed the officer's service weapon and made threatening statements. The officer regained control of his weapon, and the man struck the officer in the face during the struggle.

Additional officers arrived and were able to arrest him. He was transported to the Daviess/DeKalb Regional Jail on formal charges of failing to obey a lawful order of a police officer, resi
