CHILLICOTHE, Mo - A Chillicothe woman is behind bars in a Livingston County child abuse case.

According to a probable cause statement Chillicothe Police were contacted Thursday about a potential child abuse case at a residence in the 400 block of Wise Street. The suspect, 37-year-old Lilian Coramay Griffin had recently moved to Chillicothe along with her three daughters.

A witness had reported the girls were often seen in shabby clothing that were incorrect sizes. They also reported having been in the residence and it smelling of feces and urine. A member of the Livingston County Children's Division confirmed these reports. They also reported a previous suspect in child abuse reports and sexual assault allegations had been living in the home.
