LINCOLN, Neb. (WOWT) - Enrollment in the University of Nebraska system went down slightly for the 2025-26 school year.

In a report sent Monday, NU released a report of attendance across all the schools in the system, according to a six-day census study.

Total enrollment across the system was 49,638, a decrease of about 100 from last year.

The report says that decreases in international enrollment and graduate student enrollment, a bump in freshman and health students across the schools helped to offset the decrease.

Across Omaha, Lincoln, and Kearney, freshman enrollment was up 84 in total. The number of students at UNMC was up 115 students in total.
