BUFFALO, N.Y. — A Buffalo man will spend the next three to nine years in prison for defrauding banks and an insurance company out of thousands of dollars.

Christian D. Johnson , 28, was sentenced in State Supreme Court to an indeterminate sentence of three to nine years in prison. He pleaded guilty to several charges in March 2023 , including: One count of Insurance Fraud in the Third Degree, One count of Identity Theft in the First Degree, Three counts of Grand Larceny in the Third Degree, Four counts of Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument in the Second Degree and One count of Scheme to Defraud in the First Degree
