LONG ISLAND, N.Y. (PIX11) — The south shore of Long Island sky will light up in memory of those lost on Sept. 11, 2001, on Monday.

The Town of Oyster Bay Board will host its annual 9/11 memorial ceremony at Tobay Beach on Monday night, unveiling new names inscribed on the Walls of Honor of those who recently passed away due to illnesses caused by exposure to toxins at Ground Zero.

The Town's 9/11 memorial at Tobay Beach features a steel beam recovered from the World Trade Center, as well as the wall filled with names of those lost on the day of the attacks and afterward due to illness.

Each year, new names are added to the wall.
