FARGO — The public is invited to the Fargo-Moorhead Out of the Darkness Community Walk for suicide prevention.

The walk is held annually in 11 North Dakota communities in September, hosted by the North Dakota Chapter of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, the chapter said in a release.

The Fargo-Moorhead walk will take place Sunday, Sept. 21, at Scheels Arena, 5225 31st Ave. S., in Fargo. Check-in begins at noon, and the walk begins at 2 p.m.

Suicide is the 11th leading cause of death in the United States, yet it can be prevented, the release said.
